Amanda Lyon

Amanda joined DSSEC in 2011 as the HR and Training Manager. She leads our recruitment strategy and the graduate training programme and has seen the Company double in size over the last four years. Prior to joining DSSEC she had worked for O2 for over 18 years in a variety of HR and Project Management roles within the Technology division. Just prior to joining DSSEC Amanda worked for a Finance and HR Consultancy providing employment law advice and guidance to small and medium sized businesses in the Thames Valley and London.

Ashley Barnett

Lead Engineer

Ashley is an experienced and versatile engineer with a broad range of managerial and technical engineering capabilities.
Ash has worked within the Space, Defence, Energy, Water and Construction sectors throughout his career where he has developed and applied his knowledge and experience to system design, training, operations, maintenance, support and disposal.
He has experience of software, electrical and electronic engineering; IT system implementation, operation and administration; logistics; configuration control, quality assurance, security assurance, auditing, supportability, safety and environmental engineering.

Katie Martin

Services Integration Engineer

Katie joined DSSEC in 2012 with a BSc in Physics and has been working in Supportability Engineering and related disciplines across multiple MoD programmes. She has gained in-depth experience in the application of ILS and ARM and has provided real results to the customer and wider user community. Her skill set has grown exponentially over the years and she has shown a great deal of ability, focus and creativity in the development of valuable tools for the company across databases, macros and bespoke inventory optimisation toolsets. Katie has obtained ITIL® Expert certification which she uses this to align DSSEC internal processes to the ITIL® framework.

Tommy Lawn

Supply Support Coordinator

Tommy joined DSSEC in 2011, graduating with a BSc in Interactive Systems Design. Tommy has developed his core skills in the delivery of Support Solutions to the end customer. His core skill set includes orchestrating cohesive supply support solutions inclusive of, but not limited to inventory management, demand processing and transportation capabilities. Utilising a detailed background in ITIL, Tommy provides release management and configuration control services for technical publications ensuring the quality and consistency of all documentation releases for the business.

Elizabeth Jones

Engineer

Elizabeth joined DSSEC Ltd in 2014 with a BSc in Astrophysics with Mathematics, she is fully trained in ITIL to provide a keen awareness of Service Management best practices. As a key member of the Supportability Engineering team, she has lead the Spares Modelling and Prediction capability within DSSEC. Elizabeth has been instrumental in completing spares analysis and calculation in support of multi-echelon, large scale defence projects. Her main strengths are analytical modelling services across single and multi-site environments and platforms across Land and Sea. In addition, Elizabeth has been instrumental in the development of new toolsets for Inventory Optimisation and finding ways to create a seamless end to end approach encompassing failure data.

Jamie Curtis

Operations Manager

After graduating with a Physics BSc, Jamie spent time working in Finance and Technology before joining DSSEC shortly after its inception. Since then he has supported and led several projects, developing his management and leadership skills in parallel with his engineering competence. He exemplifies the proactive, professional and disciplined approach essential for successful execution of business within a consortium of world class partners.

Suzanne Russell

Engineer

Suzie joined DSSEC in 2011 as a Graduate Engineer and has since become a valued Engineer in the ILS team. Suzie has managed the delivery of ILS services for the Maritime Deployed DII programme and she has been involved in the development of a support programme for an Urgent Operational Requirement (UOR) defence project. Suzie has worked with various customer groups within DXC, Airbus Defence and Space, Fujitsu and the military. Suzie is a very enthusiastic and competent Engineer who thrives on developing new processes, managing projects and ensuring effective hardware support is in place for the customer.
