Graduate Engineer – Reading

Recently graduated with an Engineering, Maths, Physics, or similar IT based degree? Looking to develop these skills in a fast paced, challenging environment? DSSEC are a leading independent Engineering Consultancy specialising in the delivery of support solutions to Communications and Information Systems mainly within the Defence Industry.  We currently work alongside large leading IT companies including HP, Logica and Fujitsu. 

This role will initially be based within our Service Integration Team.  The team use ITIL principles to provide continual service improvement across the whole Service Management lifecycle from Strategy, Design through Transition and into Operations. 

As you learn and develop your skills and knowledge of the programs your focus will change from supporting the Lead Engineers to taking a more prominent and self-reliant role with increased responsibilities. Long term, this position will provide a crucial foundation for a career path heading to Lead Engineering, Management, and beyond.

ARM Engineer – Reading

This role provides support to the Principle Engineer for the analysis of a range of equipment and software applications associated with various System Architectures.

If you have a technical degree in Electronics or related discipline and / or a minimum of 5 years experience as an ARM Engineer with a thorough working knowledge of modern IT work practices and R&M prediction and modelling software packages we would love to hear from you.

Supportability Engineer – Reading

The main goal of supportability Engineering is to develop effective and efficient support resources, achieving a lower cost of ownership and influencing design decisions for support. Our Support Engineers can and do get involved in all of the following areas:

  • Supply Support (cost effective location, distribution, spares)
  • Technical Publications
  • Support and Test Equipment
  • Facilities
  • Reliability and Maintainability
  • Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation
  • Disposal
  • Training and Training Equipment

If you have an Engineering Degree in Electronics or related discipline and experience of ILS plus a thorough understanding of Logistic Support Analysis or if you feel you have relevant Engineering Consultancy skills from within an ITIL Service Management environment please do get in touch.
